FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the difference between Clinical Pilates and Rehab Pilates?

Clinical Pilates, especially by certified providers, are always conducted by clinicians such as a chiropractor. Rehab Pilates are usually by regular pilates instructors, without clinical training, but with an interest or further training in musculoskeletal conditions. They are different from regular Pilates, which focuses on improving general fitness, core strength, and flexibility.

Is Clinical Pilates safe for a slipped disc?

Yes. Unlike group classes where routines are fixed, we use graded loading to safely strengthen the muscles around the disc without causing flare-ups.

Do I need a referral?

No. As a clinical practice, we conduct our own movement audits and diagnostics to create your recovery plan.

How is this different from Physiotherapy?

While traditional physiotherapy often relies on passive manual therapy (massage, stretching, or machines) with some exercise, we focus entirely on Active Recovery through tissue remodelling. We don’t just treat the site of pain. We use the reformer and cadillac/trapeze table to build your physical capacity, ensuring your body is strong enough to handle the demands of your daily life without breaking down again.

What should I wear?

Comfortable gym attire and grip socks. We have everything else you need at our studio.
