How is this different from a traditional chiropractor?
Most chiropractors in Singapore focus on “passive care”—spinal adjustments or cracking to provide temporary relief. At Square One, we are a 100% exercise-based clinic. We don’t just align your spine; we use movement and progressive loading to build your body’s capacity so you stop relying on a clinic for relief.
Why don't you offer 50-session adjustment packages?
If a treatment is working, you shouldn’t need it indefinitely. Traditional “maintenance” models foster clinical dependency. Our goal is clinical discharge—giving you the tools to fix yourself so you don’t need us forever. Our programmes are goal-oriented and designed to make us redundant.
Do I need to get X-rays before my first session?
No. For most mechanical pain, a static picture of your bones doesn’t tell the whole story. Research shows that “wear and tear” on X-rays is often normal age-related change found even in pain-free people. Our 90-minute functional movement audit provides far more actionable data for your recovery than a routine X-ray.
How many sessions will it take to see results?
Most patients feel a significant reduction in pain within 2 to 3 weeks. However, true functional change—the kind that prevents the pain from coming back—typically happens over a 12-week block. This is the physiological time required for your tissues to adapt and become robust.
Is this just like physiotherapy?
While we share some exercise principles, our focus is entirely on Active Loading and Healthspan. We don’t use “passive” tools like ultrasound or TENS machines. Instead, we use tools like the clinical pilates and strength training to bridge the gap between “getting out of pain” and “becoming physically robust.”
Do I need to be fit to start?
Not at all. We work with everyone from office professionals to high-performance athletes. We meet you at your current “load tolerance”—even if that’s just moving pain-free in daily life—and gradually build your strength from there. Rehab is simply closing the gap between what you can do and what you want to do.
