As the number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths from COVID-19 rise, it is no surprising that some of us may start to feel anxious. After all, the uncertainty is, well, uncertain.
From 13 October, those who are unvaccinated will no longer be allowed to dine out or enter shopping malls. Despite the increasing new cases, Singapore is continuing to travel corridors to US, UK, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Canada, Denmark, and Korea.
Travel can be a good mental health respite
Well, for one, you can travel again!
It may sounds frivolous but travel restrictions did have an impact on mental health. For a tiny island-city, many Singaporeans look to travel to get away from work and to find time to recharge.

Suicide deaths in Singapore highest in 8 years
Last year alone, 452 suicides were reported in Singapore. In comparison, the total deaths from COVID-19 stands at 153.
No, we are not suggesting that you shouldn’t care about COVID or that the world is overreacting. We are saying that living with COVID is not just a case of having zero infections and zero deaths.
It’s also about self-care. It’s also about being able to look after our health in its totality.
