As a chiropractor, back pain is one of the conditions that I often see in my practice. While back pain may seem scary and sometimes warrant a trip to the hospital to find out what’s causing your symptoms, research tells us that you don’t always need to be worried.
• 67 days to recover from pain
• 37 days to recover from disability
• 37 days to return to previous work hours and duties
• 71 days to recover completely
However, a third of patients did not recover within 12 weeks.
Why are my aches not going away?
If you have back pain for over 12 weeks, your condition is considered to be chronic. On the surface, back soreness may seem impossible to treat because it just doesn’t seem to go away. However, this is not the case.
Most of your aches and soreness are probably not getting better because you have not been receiving evidence-based treatment.
If you have been doing your daily stretches but you aren’t getting much relief, it is because it doesn’t work.
Evidence-based back pain treatment
Thanks to the hard work of researchers around the world, we do know how to make your suffering go away.
Exercise and education is the best treatment for your lower back condition. Virtually all clinical guidelines published around the world agree on this. In short, nobody is contesting that exercise and education is the best pain solution for you.
Your back pain specialist
As one of the few evidence-based chiropractors in Singapore, we work with our clients to develop long-term pain solutions.
Most of our clients would have tried years (up to 15 years!) of ineffective treatments before coming to see us.
If you are sick and tired of living with your aches and you ready to make a change, book in for an appointment with us to discover how we can help you live pain-free.
